Twilight.

When you look at me, and you tell me that you're different from all the rest
Will I question your words, I wonder;
Or gaze at you, without protest?
I am tangled in you already
It's too late to leave now, it's too late
I observe the contrast of your warm eyes with your cold skin
and try to snap from this trance
To once again remind myself of the situation I'm in
But you hold my gaze, and take my cheeks in your stone hands
And I quickly throw any doubt I had up in the air
Not bothering to see where it lands

I know with each second that passes,
I encompass myself in an even greater danger

But knowing this happiness; this love

I want nothing more than to share eternity with you
And yet, you refuse to let my wish come true
I wonder why you let me remain in this vulnerable state
But I suppose only time will tell the interworkings of fate
And I hope that you will see reason
Before it is far too late

It's not just you who thirsts for me; I confess
Promise me you'll never leave, I need you to promise me this
Because in the wake of your perfection, I can't help but find ignorance in our bliss
Mortality too is a curse, you know
Everyday, Every step, It can all end in an instant for me
As death is upon me, creeping slow
Time is your enemy as much as it is mine
For you are cursed with too much;
